Sharon and Caroline, of the hugely
talented CORRS family, joined us in the
AOL Live auditorium to chat about their
starring role in the Goodwill Games
    Opening Gala and upcoming Australian
                          tour.

Goodwill MC:  Hi Caroline and Sharon :) Thanks for joining us on AOL Live.
Corrs Live: <Sharon> Hello everybody, it's nice to talk to you!

Comment: Sharon, congrats to Gavin and yourself on your wedding!
Corrs Live: <Sharon> Thanks :)

Question: Are you still planning on recording the new album in January?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> We're not sure yet, actually, we're still kind of thinking about that but it will probably start early next year, yes.

Question:  Do you like visiting Australia?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> Absolutely love it!

Question: Sharon and Caroline, we in the USA think that the Corrs are the greatest.  We want to see you all tour the USA and I feel that your music will be a real hit.  When do you plan on touring the US?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> We've no plans at the moment, but I'm sure some time we'll probably do that. We have done it before, though, and really enjoyed it.

Question: Hello. You have some of the best videos around, and now with a
greatest hits album coming, is there a possibility that The Corrs will release a
video or DVD with a compilation of all your music videos? Thanks. BrianMinnesota
Corrs Live: <Sharon> That's a good one, we haven't thought about that, but it's quite a good suggestion - you never know!

Question: After the Sydney gig you have loads of time off. I believe you are going to be filming Fire (or whatever it will be named). Will that be sooner rather than later, and do you know the location yet?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> After the Sydney gig we have no time off, and we're going to be shooting the video in Sydney, but I don't know where yet.

Question: Sharon, my daughter wants to know how long you have been playing the violin and when you started taking lessons?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> Well now I'm telling you how old I am! :) I've been playing it for 25 years - I started when I was six.

Question: Hi Corrs!! This question is for the girls...do you guys ever beat Jim up if he gets annoying?? hehehehe :) I love you guys so much, and please come to Miami so I can see you!!!
Corrs Live: <Sharon> Beat him up? No, but we would kind of ignore him and make him feel uncomfortable ;)

Comment: Hey Sharon and Caro!! I just wanted to say that I think you are fantastic and I totally respect you and admire you!!! You're positive role model for teenagers like me!!! I love you and please come to Miami!!! :)
Corrs Live: <Sharon> That's a lovely thing to say! Thank you very much.

Question: Is it true that Make You Mine is going to be on the Best of CD? I've waited so long to hear the full version of this song.
Corrs Live: <Sharon> It might be, yes, it could well be - we still haven't fully decided yet.

Question: Sharon & Caroline:  In terms of making music, do the lyrics come before the melody?  Good luck on your newest CD, by the way!
Corrs Live: <Sharon> It depends. Most of the time the music comes first, then the melody and then the lyrics.

Question: I'm a huge fan, and have been following your success for years. I moved to Australia from Ireland a few years ago, I was wondering which is your favourite country to tour in, and is there any chance in scoring some back stage passes during your Syd concert?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> A lot of countries are great to tour in. It's nice to play at home, in Ireland. And we've really particularly enjoyed our Australian tours because usually we'd be out for a month and enjoy the lifestyle and the atmosphere, and it's somewhere where we like to go out and party and have a good time. And Spain is also really good for us because the audience is usually incredible there, they're very lively and enthusiastic and screaming before you get on stage, so it's always a good atmosphere.

Question: If you had to have a job which was nothing to do with music what would you be?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> Hmmm... Actually I just watched the Wedding Channel this morning - that sounds like a nice job! I really wouldn't like to do anything else though, to be honest.

Question: Can you give us any goss on what to expect from the Goodwill opening gala and also how are you enjoying our fine country? Sorry that was 2 questions.
Corrs Live: <Sharon> I've no gossip on the gala at all. I know we're just really looking forward to it, and we haven't played here for a while, so it will be good for us to play a couple of songs from each album. We're loving Australia. We were out last night at a restaurant and watching fireworks from the river gala going off.

Question: Sharon, any babies in the near future???
Corrs Live: <Sharon> LOL :) Not that I've noticed!

Question: Where does the inspiration for your songs come from?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> It depends. For each of us it's different. The lyrics are usually just derived from experience and what you say of life and people around you, and how you connect with people around you. We do write about love a lot, which really does make the world go around and is important for everybody. But it depends on what inspires you at the time.

Question: Do you play any other instruments that aren't shown?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> I play violin and I also play piano, and I try to play guitar, mostly badly. Caroline plays drums and piano and bodhran (Irish drums). Andrea plays tinwhistle and also piano. And Jim is keyboards and guitars.

Question: I absolutely love "No Frontiers." Any possibility of you and Caroline singing another duet in the future?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> There's every possibility. We haven't thought of one at the moment, but we enjoyed singing that one together and I'm sure we'll do it again in the future.

Question: The UK loves you when are you coming back?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> We'll actually be in the UK two weeks from now. We're going to record Top of the Pops and CDUK. And then we'll be back again, after our tour of Australia, in October/November.

Question: What music do you listen to??? PS: greetings from Germany - it's 3 o'clock in the morning :) But we are hard-corr-fans!!!
Corrs Live: <Sharon> Quite a variety. Stuff that I like and listen to at the moment is Travis, Coldplay. I like the Buena Vista Social Club, and I like listening to some classical music as well. But usually whatever's good and around at the time.

Question: What is your favourite Corrs song?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> That's a good question! I'm very attached to them all. I don't know what my favourite is! What I loved playing, which is on the Unplugged album, is 'Only When I Sleep' and 'Radio'.

Question: Are you planning to release any more singles off In Blue?
Corrs Live: <Sharon> It depends on which country. We're still probably going to release 'All the Love in the World' but I think that's probably about it for In Blue. But it changes all the time, and from country to country too.

Goodwill MC:  We've got Caroline with us now :)
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Hi everyone! I've just been watching the chat on my little computer.

Question: Hi, My name is Tania and I would like to know: When will you come to France.... We adore you!!!!!!!!!
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Don't know yet. I'm sure we may go, maybe before Christmas, if we're going to promote the new single that's coming out, but I'm not sure yet, I don't really know.

Question: What's your favourite thing about being in a band???
Corrs Live: <Caroline> I love the fact that you can travel so much and you get to experience a lot of things that you wouldn't normally experience, different cultures. And of course also the music, but it really broadens your horizons.

Question: I've heard rumours about you might possibly be participating in a "Commitments" sequel. Any truth, or is it like the "Sharon'spregnant" story ;)
Corrs Live: <Caroline> I've heard this rumour as well! But it's not true. We've heard rumours about a new film, but I've heard nothing about what's happening and we're definitely not involved.

Question: What do you do for entertainment on the long flight from Ireland to Australia?
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Watch lots of movies and eat!

Question: Caroline, do you ever get so worn out during the live shows that you worry you won't be able to make it to the end?!  You put so much effort into drumming compared to other musicians I've seen!
Corrs Live: <Caroline> No, I never get worried that I'll not be able to do it because I stay pretty fit to be able to do it. I do put a lot of effort into it, and sometimes I look back at myself and I can see that, but it's just a natural way for me to play.

Question: Sharon and Caroline, do you feel too much pressure to always look as great as you do? I'm Conrado and I'm talking from Brazil
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Sometimes. Because you're in a band and you're in the public eye, people expect you to look good all the time. But some days you wake up and you don't look good. As you get older you stop thinking about it so much and you focus on different things.

Question: AS CHILDREN GROWING UP, did you ever think you would become this famous....?
Corrs Live: <Caroline> No. We didn't understand what fame was, and what success was, as children but as we grew up we came to understand it more, and it became part of your life. We never thought we'd be as successful as we have been, but we always thought we had the potential to be successful.

Question: WHAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT BEING ON STAGE?
Corrs Live: <Caroline> I suppose people actually enjoying what you've created and your music. The audience can sometimes be the best part for us – how they're reacting to us.

Question: Do u like being in a band with your family???
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Yes, I don't know any different! I've only been in one band, and that's my family, and I enjoy it. It's different, and it sometimes can be difficult because you are family, but we still enjoy it.

Question: WHO INSPIRED YOU TO PLAY THE DRUMS?
Corrs Live: <Caroline> A boyfriend of mine when I was about 17 - he loved Larry Mullins from U2 and he was a drummer, and he had a kind of rehearsal room at the back of his house, and I liked the look of them and I liked to listen to them - I liked the whole feeling of playing them. And that's how it started.

Question: If u could live any where in the world where would it be and why????
Corrs Live: <Caroline> It's difficult - there are so many beautiful places. I can't pick one. I love France, I think it's very beautiful. I love Spain, I love Australia – I love them all! I'd like to keep travelling.

Question: Caroline...who's your favorite drummer?????? :)
Corrs Live: <Caroline> I don't really have a favourite drummer, because there are so many different styles. I used to love looking at Ringo Starr, the way he smiled behind the drums, because he looked so happy all the time! But I don't really have a favourite.

Goodwill MC: A lot of people want to know when you're heading to the US...
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Back to the US won't be for quite a while, probably not till next year. Miami in particular... we did a show there a while ago but it won'tbe till next year that we get back.

Question: How are Andrea + Jim?  Are they having a lie in? ;)
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Jim is I think having a little sunbathe... no I think he's stopped now. Andrea - I have no idea what she's doing now - I'd have to call her and ask her lol

Question: Caroline...I LOVE "Old Town"..I'm watching it right now on the Unplugged vid..why did you guys decide to do that song?
Corrs Live: <Caroline> When we were rehearsing for the Unplugged we wanted to do somebody else's song, and I think it was Andrea's idea that we do Phil Lynott's 'Old Town' because it's an Irish song and it has great lyrics and great melody.

Question: Will you be playing any 'new' songs during the Australian gigs?
Corrs Live: <Caroline> It depends on what you've seen last! Definitely different from the last Australian tour, but similar to the recent UK shows. So it just depends on what you've seen...

Question: Where do you see yourself (and the rest of the band) in ten years time?
Corrs Live: <Caroline> That's difficult. Ten years ago we asked ourselves the same question and we had no idea that we'd be here, so I have no idea. Hopefully still successful!

Question: Caroline, what is your most favourite song on the album 'In Blue?'
Corrs Live: <Caroline> It's hard for me to have a favourite. Every time you record a song, each one means something. I don't really have a favourite!

Goodwill MC: Thanks for joining us at AOL Live Caroline and Sharon. Enjoy your time in Australia!
Corrs Live: <Caroline> Goodbye to everyone! Thanks for listening and thanks for all your questions.
