WARNING: This may contain some corny overtones.

Being a drummer myself, I always get a thrill out of watching others play, particularly Caroline.

And naturally, I also fell in love with her voice, her personality and her smile.

But it wasn't until I watched The Corrs LIL with Caroline Cam that it really hit me.

With the camera focused solely on her I got the full impact. The way she moved, her look of concentration and the way she commanded the song.

Because she did command it. Her playing, her awesome playing takes you over. Yes, Andrea sings, and you listen to Sharon's violin and Jim's music too, but it's Caro that takes over. It's her that provides the backbone to the music and it's her that provides a constant, a presence that cannot be denied.
And it's the way that she puts herself into a song. It's as if her entire soul is put into that song.

Watching her play is probably one of the best experiences I have ever had. The songs seem to say much more to me when I watch her play. The intense concentration she has, the looks she gets when she does a particularly hard fill or something like that...it enhances the song and her somehow.

And her singing does exactly the same. Even when she's singing backup in ATLITW at LIL, when you watch her, she looks so wistful, as if she's putting herself into the song. And No Frontiers...well...her voice just conveys the song on such emotional terms that you can't help being hooked. And the look on her face as she hits the high notes isn't just cute...it, curiously enough, makes the listener feel more.

Of course, perhaps it's just me reading too much into her looks and voice...but anyway.

What do you think?
