I know people have posted reviews already but it's my go now. hehe
Uhmmm…. *sits in front of screen with blank look on face*
Still kind of speechless!!!! Firstly the support band- Picture House- were great. Much shameless plugging of CD but nvm. lol. Wanted to get up & dance but no-one else was….didn't wanna make a fool of myself that early on… the singer from the band had that covered anyway- went off stage and tripped over his pint. Cue howls of laughter from area round block 119 (namely row B *cough* I’m innocent *cough*) Also cue bloke from backstage rushing out with towel.
Spent most of the interval in the biggest bathroom queue in the world, like, ever (also sent evil glares in direction of any male who had audacity to pass comment on the number of women who felt it necessary to go there in pairs  ) Intro video started playing on the screens…. had great difficulty explaining to mum that it wasn’t them NOW, it was pre-recorded… and then……
Erin Shore started and HELL it was loud! I heard they were (who was it called them "the loudest whisper I've ever heard"?) but *shakes head* wow
(Incidentally, would be v. pleased if anyone could help me out with the setlist after OWIS, GMAR, Irresistible. The part of my brain that deals with intelligent stuff shut down after that. Can remember all the songs... but not necessarily in all the right order ROTFL.)
And I soooo know what you guys mean now when you say that Andy floats round stage like a ballet dancer- so cute *L*
The bits I won’t forget
At the beginning, when it was quiet, suddenly someone shouts “ANDREA!” and I was expecting her to just ignore it or something… she turns to the microphone and says “yes?” like she’s wanting to hear whatever this person has to say…. methinks it was Brian et al down the front… (Yup I saw you Brian…haha)
Sharon’s solo- OMG the most amazing, beautiful piece of music I have ever heard. She had everyone silent, listening, and it was amazing watching her on the screen & how she was playing with her eyes closed and she looked like she was in another world- I just forgot everything then & it was like I was somewhere else too.
Then how it changed so quickly for the second part & I got everyone on our row up dancing & clapping… also quite probable that I gained immediate reputation as crazed fan but who cares… rotfl
The *ola!* in Old Town- how almost everyone started clapping when they thought it was finished, but you could see a few people scattered around grinning to themselves & waiting to shout the OLA, hehe
How Andy sings the bridge in Dreams- “listen, currfully to the sound…”
Shar’s wiggle in INLYA- *ooh that gi-irl*…. Will never be able to listen to it without doing that now, lol.
When they did Hurt Before… I read an article the day before with Andy talking about that song & how it was really personal to her…. And I never really understood that properly until I looked up on the screen, you could see something in her eyes and it just clicked. I dunno what it was but there was just something in that moment where I completely understood her.
So Young- “come on everybody let’s see your hands in the air!”
When Andy introduced the band and she pretended to forget Jim’s name…..
And then the way Jim said “Andreeeeaaaa!” when he introduced her, lol.
How Andy said we’d been “a fantastic audience” and that they’d “definitely be looking forward to coming back to Sheffield”  *bows*
When they did ALTITW… the “I’ll giiiiiive…” bit at the end of the chorus & the way you can hear them sing in their different keys when its live, which sounds even more amazing and so beautiful.
The clapping & the dancing in the instrumentals- one person got up and EVERYONE did…
How Andy tried about 3 times to tell us about how the collection in the foyer was for the British Lung Foundation, but they kept starting more songs & interrupting her, and in the end she asked Caro’s permission to say it, hehe.
And then how when she’d told us, she seemed to kind of run out of words and just went “so…. uhhhmm, yes”
How she tried to cover up that she kept getting interrupted by saying that she was “building the suspense…”
At the end when the others had gone off stage, how Caro tried to give her drumsticks to someone at the front, I think she didn’t wanna throw them in case she knocked someone out, lol, and she bent forward and dropped them. Hehe.
The best bit tho- the atmosphere during the last song- how everyone was just up & dancing & singing & laughing & *together*. Just like we were told to
