Jay Leno: …and reasonably
attractive brother. How are you? Good to see you. How are you?
Jim: I like that one
Jay: Hey, hey, You’re rav, reasonably attractive brother. That’s
good. Well, very nice and you’re all…the same family.
Andrea: Yeah
Jay: Right, kind of exciting, that’s gotta be. Big town, little
town, where do you come from in Ireland?
Caroline: Small town
Jay: Small town
Caroline: Dundalk
Jay: What’s the name of it?
Caroline: Dundalk, north of Dublin
Jay: Dundork? Oh, ok
(Everyone laughing) Caroline (laughing as she tries to get the word out ROFL): Dalk
Jay: Dalk, not dork
Caroline: Dalk
Jay: I was gonna say, I’m from Dork (Everyone laughing) Now,
do you always get along? Do you ever disagree? I mean, it seems like…who’s
the boss? Is there a boss?
Andrea: No, there would be problems. Wouldn’t there (All
agree) There would be major problems
Jay: No problems, no problems. So you’re all… everything is
by vote?
Sharon: Yeah
Jay: How do you work out disagreements?
Sharon: Well, it’s generally kind of like vote or violence
Jay: Vote or violence
Sharon: Violence works
(Everyone laughs) Jay: Well you know, I mean I come from Boston, so there’s a
lot of Irish Boston’s, there are all sorts of wonderful slang. Is there
any American slang you’ve had problems with? You know, you come here and
see people say things that you don’t quite understand?
Sharon: Oh, well, I remember one day, it was our first time
in America, we were recording our first album. Myself and the girls were
out shopping, you know, which girls are wont to do. And we were, uh, looking
in this cake shop and in Ireland, we call some cakes, buns.
Jay: Buns?
Sharon: So, I tell the guy behind the counter that he’s got
great buns
(Everyone cracks up) Sharon (talking while laughing LOL): He was horrified!
Jay (chuckles before he speaks): Are there Irish words we confuse
in America?
Andrea: Yeah, we, erm, I think, people probably think we’re
a nation of drug addicts because we’ve got great craic at home. But that’s
fun
Jay: Great crack at home?
(Everyone laughing) Andrea: Fun
Jay: We have great crack here in America
(Everyone cracks up! LOL) Jay: And you guys are opening for the Stones?
Sharon: Well, we have done yeah
Guy in the background: YEAH!
Sharon: Yeah
(Crowd starts cheering) Sharon: Somebody here likes the Stones
Jay: Yeah, yeah
Sharon: Uh, we did earlier, um, I think it was last month in
April we opened for the Stones
Jay: What is that like? I mean, it must be, what is that, 60
000?
Sharon: It’s a lot
Jay: Is that the biggest crowd you’ve played?
Andrea: Yeah, definitely, yeah
Jay: And you met…obviously you met Mick and everything
Sharon: Yeah
Caroline (giggling): Yeah, great
Everyone giggling Jay: Did you go drinking with Mick? Cause Mick is quite a good
drinker
Caroline and Sharon are giggling Sharon: We uh, we did go out drinking with the guys one night
and, uh, it was interesting, they outdrunk us and we’re Irish
(Everyone laughing Again) Jay: Really? Yeah well. And you guys also have a song…didn’t
you have a song in the movie, the Mambo movie?
Andrea: Yeah
Caroline (as if she just remembered): Yeah we did so. Yeah
Andrea: Yeah we did a new song for the movie
Jay: It’s a small world. Well, just wonderful work you guys.
