Sysop_Lavendar : Give us a big scream for the CORRS!

The_Corrs_Live : Hi everyone and welcome to MSN Live!

The_Corrs_Live : Thanks for having us here!

DishDiva : It's great to see so many people here this afternoon from around the world!

DishDiva : Today we are pleased to bring you The Corrs!

DishDiva : Hey, guys, welcome to MSN Live! It's great to have you back!

The_Corrs_Live : Hi and it is great to be back in New York and great to back working fullstop.

DishDiva : This must be a crazy time of year for you. .

The_Corrs_Live : It has been a pretty crazy year. For the first time in our musical career, we had to cancel a lot of gigs because Andrea got a little sick and was ordered not to fly but it is great being back on the road again.

DishDiva : What special celebrations do you have planned for St. Patrick's Day and where is your favorite place to spend St. Patrick's Day?

The_Corrs_Live : St. Patrick's Day very early we have a TV Show and that cancles out any plans for aprty on the 16th after we play Radio City. It is Caroline's birthday on the 17th and we will probably go out later on St. Patrick's Day to celebrate Caroline's birthday and St. Patrick's Day.

The_Corrs_Live : St. Patrick's Day brings back lots of memories for me and a pub called McManus' where we all used to work at one stage.

DishDiva : MrPointy2 Asks: Jim, Why did you not do a solo this tour ? Was it because of the bully girls?

The_Corrs_Live : (laughs) To be quite honest, on the last tour, doing the solo piece was nervewracking. This time we are doing things slightly differently. We don't want to repeat ourselves.

DishDiva : Vinits Asks: Do you feel that music is a language that knows no barriers?

The_Corrs_Live : Absolutely. No doubt about it.

DishDiva : KatietheGreat Asks: How long did it take to make the record?

The_Corrs_Live : The record was done predominantly in Ireland and took about eight months in total. At the same time, we were also promoting an unplugged album that we released with MTV. We were kind of coming and going in terms of creation of the album.

DishDiva : Manolis says: How do you describe this album "In Blue" compared to other albums you ve recorded in the past?

The_Corrs_Live : I suppose it has more elements of pop and rock in comparison to the other albums. We have been careful not to try and repeat ourselves and to just watch how we use the influence of traditional
Irish music. We would like to think that we have evolved in terms of our songwriting and that the songs are more meaningful and from the heart.

DishDiva : chiromusic says: Do you ever play the old small clubs when you are home?

The_Corrs_Live : Nothing gives us greater pleasure than we are out with our musical friends and to pick up some instruments and jam along with the people who are playing. We do that whenever we can get the chance.

DishDiva : We just want to take a second to welcome everyone from around the wortld who is joining us today!

DishDiva : conor2 Asks: Are you marching in the parade on Sat.?

The_Corrs_Live : No, unfortunately, we are not. We will merrily be spectating.

DishDiva : ColleenPrice says: Does green beer taste different than regular ale?

The_Corrs_Live : (laughs) I suppose it depends on which pub you get it from. Apparently though, there is no change in the taste.

DishDiva : USAneedsthecorrs Asks: How do you all entertain yourselves when you are on tour?

The_Corrs_Live : Generally we work so intensely that we don't often get a chance to party. If we have a night and a day off we generally all go out. It may be just the 6 of us (Anto and Keith) and we would find a small club and party a little. . .or a lot depending on how everybody is feeling. (laughs)

DishDiva : peanuttoo says: How does playing in the States compare to playing in Europe?

The_Corrs_Live : At the moment, when we play in Europe, we play much much bigger venues because we are better known over there but that is changing
rapidly and I see up playing on par or in bigger venues than in Europe. The American audience is really fantastic as was proven to us in Chicago last night.

DishDiva : ncwiz_corrsfan Asks: Have you guys ever made a mistake while performing a song?

The_Corrs_Live : (laughs) Oh my GOD! (laughs) Many times. Many times.

The_Corrs_Live : During the course of a night, we each make a couple mistakes which is not immediately discernible to the audience. It doesn't bother us because it is inevitable that mistakes will happen even though we will strive for perfection.

DishDiva : peace says: Do you have a sign offstage that reminds you where you all are?

The_Corrs_Live : We haven't made that fatal mistake yet. We have heard of many a band that makes that mistake. It is understandable if you are traveling from city to city every day. We haven't done it yet and hopefully, we never will. (laughs)

DishDiva : crazymole says: I heard about 2 projects U have now: a collaboration with Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz and the benefit album "Fields of Hope". What can you tell us about 'em?

The_Corrs_Live : We collaborated on two tracks. One of his and one of ours. Ours is called "One Night" and we just finished shooting the video a couple days ago in Mexico City. The name of Alejandro's track escapes me, but it was a song that Andrea had to sing in Spanish which she did remarkably well, I have to say.

DishDiva : stressederic0 says: What is the next single off the "In Blue" album that the corrs will release in Britain?

The_Corrs_Live : "Give me a Reason." It has just gone to radio and should be released in the coming weeks.

DishDiva : Nick086 says: Sharon, when will you get married? The ninth or the sixteenth of June?

DishDiva : kitty_ket Asks: How was it working, or rather, singing with Pavarotti?

The_Corrs_Live : It was wonderful to finally work with the Maestro, as he is known and challenging to have to collaborate with him on a song which was in Italian.

DishDiva : SoulProvider says: I want to ask The Corrs: What memories can't you forget about the making of the video "Breathless"?

The_Corrs_Live : I just watched that today while we were recording the "Rosie O'Donell" show. I remember the intense heat at 1 or 2 o'clock during the day. It was a wonderful experience to fly in a Dougles DC3 Dakota, an old passenger commercial plane. All in all it was a wonderful experience to find oneself in such an inhospitable place like the Mojave desert to

The_Corrs_Live : shoot a video.

The_Corrs_Live : cameron_diaz2 Asks: Being as your family, do u find it difficult to live and work together?

The_Corrs_Live : The first few years were quite difficult because finding yourself working with your siblings is quite an unusual situation to be in because roughly at 18, people usually flee the nest and each other
After awhile, we learned what buttons not to push in terms of what might set another person off and I have to say we get on thankfully very very well. Otherwise it would be a nightmare.

DishDiva : ncwiz_corrsfan Asks: What's the best part about what you do?

The_Corrs_Live : Not being in a 9-5 job. That is probably one of the best things. There is endless variety of what we are doing and we count ourselves very lucky to be in a position to experience that. Also, putting your heart and soul into a creation of a song and for that creation to be loved by millions of people is an extremely fulfilling thing.

DishDiva : We are talking with Grammy nominated artists, The Corrs about their latest CD, "In Blue."

DishDiva : If you have a question for the Corrs, whisper your question to Ask_Questions_Live.

DishDiva : YesImMaxiz Asks: Is being famous, playing as a band, and touring all that you hoped it would be?

The_Corrs_Live : It is probably slightly different than what our expectations were initially. You tend to view this bsuiness as highly glamorous. But the truth is that it is nowhere near as glamorous and it is made out to be.

The_Corrs_Live : There is an enormous amount of work to realize this dream but we love what we do so much that we wouldn't change it for the world.

DishDiva : JaeBugz Asks: How did you guys feel when you found out u were nominated in the Grammys?

The_Corrs_Live : It was a little bit of a shock, to be honest. When it sunk in, we were highly flattered to be nominated for two Grammy Awards. It was for us, at least a recognition of our success and of our imporving success within the USA.

DishDiva : GS653 says: Will you be appearing in any more films?

The_Corrs_Live : I am sure down the line we will be appearing in some more films, but at the moment our time and our schedule is heavily taken up with the promotion of "In Blue."

DishDiva : frankly says: Tell me about the title of "In Blue." Were you feeling sad?

The_Corrs_Live : It is much simpler than that. It is taken from "Give me a Reason." The line is "Swimming in blue." We have done that with all our releases. We have taken a lyric and made it the title. Like "Talking Corners" is from the song, "Queen of Hollywood."

DishDiva : christophe796 Asks: Which is the most beautiful show of love a fan can give you?

The_Corrs_Live : Four rolex watches. (laughs)

DishDiva : silvia-spain Asks: Jim, have you thought about producing other artists's albums in the future?

The_Corrs_Live : Yes, that is something I would love to do down the line but right no my full focus is obviously the Corrs.

DishDiva : cape_cod_girl says: Do fans ever ask you any really dumb questions like"How did you guys meet"?

The_Corrs_Live : Not really. An awful lot of people know practically everything there is to know about us.

DishDiva : butterflimami1 Asks: When did you know that you really"made it"?

The_Corrs_Live : When we had a top ten hit in England after a long time trying to break into the charts. That was when we realized that we were at last getting there. It took quite a few years.

DishDiva : Alabama_David Asks: What's your favorite thing about the States?

The_Corrs_Live : Starbucks coffee!

The_Corrs_Live : and the bagels!

DishDiva : Thanks, guys!

DishDiva : It's been a pleasure spending this afternoon with you! Here's to many coffee and bagel moments in the U.S.

The_Corrs_Live : Thank you! We look forward to seeing you all pretty soon and thank you for your continued support!
