I´m still full of emotions after Wednesday´s
performance in Vienna, Austria but I will try to calm down and describe
you what it was like...
PICTURE HOUSE came on the stage exactly at 7.30 pm and played their
songs until 8.10 pm - the main singer (don´t know his name) said
some words in German language at the beginning and the audience liked it
very much :-). He also thanked us for clapping after each song in German.
At the end of their performance he asked us to shout hey, hey, hey...
so we did!
Then he mentioned their CD, played last song and went away.
They were very good and the audience of 10 000 people was happy with
them!
Then there was about half an hour waiting for The Corrs - at 8.40 pm
it was suddenly dark and we could see a video of four siblings coming through
the corridor on 3 big screens. We all got excited, we were screaming &
clapping - they finally showed up on the stage, Andrea was wearing a black
leather top, long black skirt with a silver belt around her hips - with
no shoes on (she probably forgot them :-)), Sharon was wearing a silver
top with long black skirt, Jim wore a knitted jumper and pants, Caroline
wore pants and a black top with coloured strips.
All of them looked amazing!
They played:
1. Only when I sleep
2. Give me a reason
3. Irresistible
4. Forgiven Not Forgotten
5. What can I do
6. Haste to the wedding
7. Hurt before
8. Somebody for someone
9. Dreams
10. The right time
11. I never loved you anyway
12. Runaway
13. All the love in the world
14. Old town
15. All in a day
16. Carraroe Jig
17. No more cry
18. Radio
19. Queen of Hollywood
20. Breathless
21. At your side
22. So young
23. Toss the feathers
I liked all songs of course but I enjoyed especially the new ones from
In Blue - because I never heard them played live before. The song no.13
(ATLITW) was absolutely beautiful - the girls were sitting in front and
sang - so Caroline did not play on drums in this one.
Also, song no.7 (HB) was so fantastic - Andrea´s beautiful voice
fit in it perfectly!!!
While playing Breathless, At your side, So young and Toss the Feathers
the most of us were standing, dancing, clapping and singing along with
them!!!
I´ve had such a great time while watching Andrea dancing around
on the stage, singing, smiling, making faces, waving her hands and whistling
on the tin whistle, Sharon clapping her hand on her hip, playing on violin
and guitar, Caroline playing on drums&piano and Jim playing on the
guitar, keyboards and piano, asking us to wave our hands in the air while
performing So young - and we did!
It wasn´t necessary to ask us to do it because most of us have
the Royal Albert Hall video and we knew what to do!!! :-)
Andrea mentioned at the beginning that this was the first time they
played in Vienna ... "....so let´s have a party!"
It was for me such a strong experience - I´ve seen them live
in Nottingham but this was different and it was longer - they were on the
stage nearly 2 hours!!!
For all who didn´t decide whether to go and see them or not -
I can recommend - people - go and enjoy yourself!
